James Digby
James Digby has over a decade of operational and managerial experience, specializing in early stage funding, marketing expertise and business development.
As an entrepreneur, he has built up a successful consulting business helping Nordic companies that seek to expand their reach internationally. He provides expert assistance to board level for rapid growth companies. As an accomplished corporate strategist, James has increased profits in various different business sectors globally. James is also a senior partner of idea 72, a startup incubator based in Copenhagen, Denmark that helps entrepreneurs and young startups develop their idea with access to seed funding, mentorship, business development services and direct links to an Angel investor network.

Dwight Gunning
Having worked in R&D, web design, and as an IT Consultant for Accenture in Australia, Asia and Europe, Dwight is a genuine tech adventurer. Now settled in Amsterdam and excited to support the local startup scene.
Dwight decided to get involved in the SW High Tech event “to help bring out and motivate even more of the tremendous talent and creativity that I know exists amongst the innovative corporations and highly regarded universities from the area.”
Joris van Mens
Joris loves technology, languages and music. He started programming at a very young age, graduated as MSc in Economics and is now working at Google. He decided to get involved with Startup weekend as he finds the DIY atmosphere of the events highly inspirational and greatly enjoys being part of it.
Folkwin Emaar
Entrepreneur in marketing and sustainability. Interests: entrepreneurship, sustainability, innovation, technology, marketing, sports, travel, photography. Was part of the winning team “AlterEgo” at startupweekend Amsterdam in 2010. Working currently at “Energie in beeld“, a new innovative tool for local governments to gain insight in energy consumption.
Edith den Hartog
At the moment Edith is finishing a Master degree in Business Studies at the University of Amsterdam. Besides two (Trade) Marketing internships within the FMCG industry (at Red Bull Argentina and Nestlé The Netherlands) she also co-organized a student study trip to Boston and San Francisco with the focus on entrepreneurship.
Edith is motivated by the thought that almost everything we use in daily life is the result of creativity and persistence of entrepreneurs. For this reason, she is organising Startup Weekend Amsterdam and aims to create event that will help others take their ideas to a higher level!
Gregor Noltes
Gregor has a thorough interest in change. To him, change is the only constant we have. Gregor has a great admiration for startups and novelties and brings this to life in his function at Amsterdam-based Rockstart, a startup with a bold aim: becoming the greatest startup machine ever built. Gregor joined the SWAms crew after he was flabbergasted by the positive vibe at SW Eindhoven. He’s ready to make a change and spread the SW virus!
Nick Stevens
A British expat living in The Netherlands, Nick has more than a decade of corporate operations and management experience, and about half as much again in the small business world. He doesn’t code, but considers himself to be somewhat geeky, with a fascination about UI/UX and processes. He is currently in the process of launching his own startup. He joined SW because he loves to enable creative people to chase their dreams.
Kasia Kwiecien
Having a masters degree from SGH Warsaw School of Economics, Kasia was always passionate about exploring innovative directions in todays marketing techniques. She joined her partner’s software house (Appvetica) and takes care of everything happening after the apps are built. Recently she took the leap; moved to Amsterdam to be in the center of entrepreneurial action in Europe, to continue developing Appvetica as well as her own ideas.
